Restaurant description

On 16 November 2013 opened the Jatetxea Laja, from the hand of Jose Luis Etxeberria and Juan Mari Bastida two hospitality professionals.

A traditional Basque cuisine, with the special touch of Txuli, where the protagonists are seasonal produce and market, being faithful to the philosophy of Slow Food, using local produce. We could define the cuisine that you can taste, once we decide to stop and enjoy the view sitting on the table.

Laja culinary offer is based on menus, both the day as the weekend. That does not mean things or prepare special customer requests, always prior request.

But besides the menu and the weekend, we can also enjoy a wonderful cider menu (with the Txotx cider all year), or with a good combined dish or snack.

The Laja Jatetxea is ideal for holding any event to enjoy good traditional Basque cuisine, and enjoy your surroundings.

Take advantage!

Recommendations

Among the inbound that we can find on the menu, always depending on the seasonality of the product, we have artichokes, that embroider the Laja and that can take on the grill, with Jerez, with green sauce or prawns, all forms are delicious. Along with artichokes include the foie with quail eggs and salad, such as mixed or temperate octopus or cod.

As for fish is concerned, the always find fish prepared grilled or in sauce, such as cod and hake, which can make grilled or in green sauce menu. Joining them great dishes like grilled squid with black rice or in ink.

In the section on meat highlight the Iberian pork and steak sauce, which is spectacular and bring Azkoitia. In turn, we can enjoy a chop or grilled rib elaborate. We can order any meat to prepare us grilled.

All desserts that offered at the Laja is home, among which we must emphasize the rice with milk, curd, cheese cake, chocolate cake, or the selection of sorbets and ice cream .

Among the combined dishes include fish of the day with potato salad and calamari, lasagna with salad and the chicken drumsticks with potatoes, grilled mushrooms and salad.

And among the snacks the undisputed king of the letter is the meat cooked with peppers, wonderful.
